We are finishing preparing one of the photographic trips I was most eager to organize: Finland in the heart of the northern spring, in one of the country's great wildlife areas, very close to the border with Russia.
📅 Expected dates: May 4–11, 2027
👥 Small group: between 6 and 10 photographers\
Our goal will be to take advantage of five days of photography to work with some of the most emblematic and spectacular species of Finnish fauna.
🐻 3 photography sessions of large carnivores
We will pass three full sessions in hides specializing in large mammals, with the grizzly bear as one of the main protagonists of the trip.
But it won't be the only species we'll be looking for.
People are also moving in the area wolves and gluttons, two much more difficult species and whose appearance, being wild fauna, can never be guaranteed.
That is precisely why we have decided to dedicate three different sessions on large carnivores, thus increasing our chances of photographing the different species.
We will work with completely wild and free animals, in one of the great natural settings of northern Europe.
🐓 Capercaillie in heat
Another major objective of the trip will be capercaillie.
We will conduct a specific session coinciding with your mating season, seeking to photograph the males during the lek in the heart of the Finnish boreal forest.
🖤 Lyre rooster in heat
We will also dedicate a specific session to black grouse, Also during mating season, when the males perform their spectacular displays and territorial confrontations.
📸 Five photography days
Our program will have the following main objectives:
• 3 sessions of large carnivores: brown bear, with the possibility of being a wolf and a wolverine.
• 1 session of a capercaillie in heat.
• 1 session of a ruffed wolf rooster in heat.
We have chosen to dedicate three sessions on large mammals Instead of putting all our eggs in one basket. Some species are much more common than others, and we want to have as much time as possible to try and catch them.
🏡 Accommodation and meals
We will be staying in the vicinity of the photography center itself during 5 nights, in shared rooms.
The trip will include Full board during our stay, in addition to the transfers necessary to carry out the different activities.
Throughout the trip we will also have bilingual Spanish-English guide.
💶 Price: €2,595 per person
